Description
He yells about Ted Stroehmann as a loser. He's the kind of guy whose constant whining would drive any psychiatrist crazy. This boy is so, so unlucky, that on the night of his prom, his most dreaded part of the body was pinched by the zipper. This unhappy guy may be unlucky in life, but at least he was lucky in love once. At the age of seventeen, he met his dream girl, Mary Jenson, who asked him to be her dance partner at their prom in Rhode Island. Mary Jenson turned out to be a wonderful creation, until Ted's zippered masculinity brought an abrupt end to the romance. After graduation, Mary moved to Florida with her family, and Ted hasn't seen her since. Mary's memory does not leave Ted alone. Although he hasn't seen her in more than ten years, since the failed prom, his heart still beats faster every time he thinks of her. Ted is still crazy about Mary and wondering what could become of her. Finally, at the urging of his best friend Dom, he hires private investigator Pat Healy to find out what Mary is doing in Florida. He yells at Pat Healy that he's a scumbag. He looks more like a slick used car salesman than an insurance investigator. He must be the kind of guy who, after finding Mary in Miami, starts lying about her to his client. Over the years, Mary has become even more beautiful, if possible. He had a brilliant medical career, and one of his weaknesses is that he likes to take care of the disadvantaged. However, in order to get Mary for himself, Healy lies to Ted that his beloved has become an obese, wheelchair-bound mother of four. Healy is so into Mary that he lies to her about himself, hoping she will reciprocate his feelings... Not recommended for under 16s F/1735/J
