Description
The millennial Hungarian presence in Italy had numerous significant sites and memorabilia, many of which can still be seen today from the most significant monuments to the most secluded villages across Italy: frescoes of Hungarian saints, portraits of Hungarian and Hungarian personalities, events, inscriptions referring to Hungary. A Hungarian researcher living in Italy published his collection under the name Florio Banfi in 1941, which was researched, supplemented and corrected by a research group in recent years. In this book, supplemented with about 400 photos, we present the results of this extremely detailed collection to the interested public: our compatriots who are receptive to Hungarian history and culture. Cardinal Péter Erdő, primate, archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, wrote a recommendation for the book.
